Asia – Pacific Mutual Treaty

I am becoming more and more convinced that we need an Asia-Pacific Mutual Defense Treaty with Japan, Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, India and the Philippines as founding members. The U.S. shall be invited as an observer while the Treaty is being deliberated and negotiated and requested to protect a security umbrella in case any hostile power decides to launch a pre-emptive attack. The U.S. interest is enormous and must be protected. The sea lanes in what is variously known as South China Sea, Sea of Japan and West Philippine Sea as well as the straits of Malacca must continue open and conflict-free to ensure free trade and the movement of goods from and to the U.S. This is why it is in the interest of the U.S. to guarantee that no war erupts in Asia and the Pacific while the Asia-Pacific Mutual Defense Treaty is being established.

The Treaty needs an endearing moniker and I have tentatively crafted the following: The ASPAC Treaty. The treaty shall be fashioned in the same spirit of cooperation and peaceful settlement of disputes as NATO. In fact, the organizers in drafting the charter may be advised to hue closely to the wording in the NATO charter, which has kept Europe free from invasion of any of its signatories’ territories by any superpower or aspiring regional military power.

  1. Interesting blog! Is your theme custom made or did you download it from somewhere? A design like yours with a few simple tweeks would really make my blog shine. Please let me know where you got your design. Thanks a lot

  2. The other day, while I was at work, my sister stole my iPad and tested to see if it can survive a 30 foot drop, just so she can be a youtube sensation. My apple ipad is now destroyed and she has 83 views. I know this is completely off topic but I had to share it with someone!

  3. I know this if off topic but I’m looking into starting my own blog and was wondering what all is needed to get set up? I’m assuming having a blog like yours would cost a pretty penny? I’m not very web smart so I’m not 100% positive. Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks
