Pakistan and Thailand to upgrade defense ties

Pakistan and Thailand have agreed to enhance defense cooperation, a joint statement issued by the two countries at the end of Thai Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra‘s visit to Islamabad said. Prime Minister Shinawatra left Islamabad on Wednesday after a two-day visit in which much of the focus remained on deepening economic and trade relations. The Thai premier was presented a replica of ‘Fasting Buddha‘ and a commemorative postal stamp was also issued on the occasion of her visit. Several steps the two governments agreed to undertake for enhancing defense cooperation included high-level.
