Filipino Bashing in Danao City

Hello folks out there, welcome to my blog on this fine day. Please don’t place your mistakes on your head, their weight may crush you. Instead, place them under your feet and use them as a platform to view your horizons. The happiness of your life depends on the quality of your thoughts. The guerrillas who stormed into the city of Zamboanga on Monday last week belong to a breakaway faction of the Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF). The fighting, in which nearly 100 people have been killed, has highlighted lingering grievances in the Catholic-majority country despite its growing economy and an agreement with the biggest Muslim rebel group that was meant to bring peace. About 80,000 people have been displaced in the nine days of fighting. Hundreds of homes and several public and commercial buildings have been destroyed. Flights and ferry services are suspended.

I hate to say it, a number of expats have been burned by loaning money to both Filipinos and other expats in the Philippines.

I have asked many Filipina who want a foreigner husband, what’s wrong with a Filipino men much have of the same answer; they are lazy, and plus drunkards and womanizers. Men are men and women are women, no matter what nationality they are. We are all not perfect little angels. We talk here how foreigners take advantage of Filipina; well Filipinas (not all) take advantage of foreigners too. I am sure there are many horror stories on both sides.

Most people here are nice. I personally think that many expats forget that they are guests in this country. I dislike Americans when they act here in any particular way. I want to set an image that will make us all proud and welcome here. How other expats treat our hosts here is reflected in the opinion and treatment of us all. I would not want to be stereotyped as a typical American unless it was in a positive way.
