VR dismayed by the government handling of the conflict

Former President Fidel Ramos said he is dismayed by how the government handle Misuari’s group saying the 1996 final peace agreement with the Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF) signed during his administration was not properly implemented by his successors.  He also refused to heed calls to mediate between government and the MNLF founding chairman Nur Misuari. Instead, he advised the Aquino administration to “get its act together.” Why don’t you clean up your own mess first because you did it in the first place after we turned it over to you in a nice silver platter. Put your team in order. After that maybe you can succeed in cleaning up the mess.” Meanwhile, Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process Teresina Deles said she already talked with the former president Monday night.
