Normalcy began to return to Zamboanga City

ZAMBOANGA CITY: Normalcy began to return to Zamboanga City on Wednesday as fighting between government and rebel forces was reduced to sporadic skirmishes confined to two villages. At least 26 banks reopened yesterday and officials announced that flights to Zamboanga will resume today. Palace spokesman Edwin Lacierda said the government has “enough resources” to rebuild Zamboanga City, and the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) vowed to help the city rise again.
