Published on Nov. 9, 2013

World’s Strongest Super Typhoon
Typhoon Haiyan or Yolanda has made landfall along Southern Samar and then a second landfall on Leyte as a record breaking Typhoon with winds on a 1 minute wind scale via JTWC at 314kph. That is stronger than the max winds in Typhoon Tip and the equivalant of the winds typically found in a EF3 to EF4 Tornado. The difference is the wind around the eye wall of this monster is about 100kph wide.
